Information you provide

When you send a message, we receive your first and last name, email address, message, and any organization or service information you choose to provide. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and the contents of your correspondence.

When you book a call through Calendly, we receive the contact information, appointment details, and any answers you provide during scheduling. Please do not send passwords, credentials, donor records, or sensitive personal information through the website contact form or ordinary email.

How information is used

We use inquiry and scheduling information to respond to you, understand the help you need, arrange meetings, and manage related correspondence. Website usage information helps us understand which pages are useful, improve the site, and measure whether advertising leads to inquiries or scheduling-link clicks.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics. Google collects and processes information about site visits, including pages viewed, interactions, browser and device information, approximate location, and referral or campaign information. Analytics cookies help distinguish visits and sessions.

Our site records events such as service-link clicks, scheduling-link clicks, and successful contact-form submissions. The custom contact-form event records that a submission succeeded; it does not include your name, email address, or message. Analytics results may also be used with Google Ads to measure campaign performance.

The site also uses a cookie named borrowedBITheme to remember your choice of light or dark mode. This preference cookie lasts up to 180 days unless you delete it or update your preference.

Service providers and external links

• Contact forms: Formspree processes and stores form submissions so we can receive and respond to them. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
• Scheduling: Booking links take you to Calendly, which processes scheduling information. See Calendly's Privacy Notice.
• Website, email, and fonts: Hosting and email providers process information needed to deliver the site and our correspondence. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives technical request information such as your IP address and browser details when the fonts load.

Information is shared with providers as needed to operate these services. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect our rights or the security of our services. Provider processing may take place in the United States or other countries where those providers operate. External sites, including LinkedIn and Calendly, have their own privacy practices.

Your choices

You can choose not to submit a form or book a call. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies; doing so may affect analytics or prevent your theme preference from being remembered. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported desktop browsers and advertising preference controls.

To ask about information you have provided, request a correction or deletion, or ask us to stop following up, email hello@borrowedbi.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some records may need to be retained for legal or business obligations.

Retention and security

We retain information as needed for the purposes described here, related business records, and applicable obligations. Retention also depends on the services used to process the information. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Client project data

Data access and handling for consulting engagements are addressed in the applicable client agreement and agreed working arrangements. This website policy does not replace those terms.
